I am a jewelry designer working out of my home studio in Ballard, aka, Seattle.  Years ago, I began experimenting with jewelry as a creative outlet and became hooked immediately.  I am mostly self-taught, but have taken a few basic Jewelry/metalsmith classes and continue to love learning new skills and techniques for fresh ideas.  Each piece is carefully designed and handcrafted by me with special attention to quality & detail.  I work primarily with Sterling Silver & 14K Goldfill metals and use handpicked gemstones, vintage components & other unique findings that catch my fancy!  I love the entire design process from finding (or creating) the components, brainstorming ideas for designs &, finally, putting those ideas into fruition.  I am inspired by the many wonderful people in my life, particularly my daughter, Isa.  She is 8 years old & such a kick!  I often ask her for advise on different designs.  Music, nature & travel move me, as well.  I founded m. frances Designs in 2006.  In addition to online, I sell my pieces in various boutiques in the Seattle area.
